JAGA’s Rising Stars Shine on the International Stage

Writer: Jordan LarocheJordan Laroche

The Asian Junior Masters at Black Mountain this past weekend was a true showcase of talent, with JAGA students delivering standout performances against some of the best junior golfers in the region. Competing on one of Asia’s premier golf courses, our athletes rose to the occasion and made a strong statement.

Louis Mahakan led the charge for JAGA, finishing T3 in the entire tournament with an impressive -9 over the weekend. Not only did Louis place among the best overall, but he also claimed victory in the B Boys group, solidifying his place as one of the top young golfers in the competition.

Tantikorn Klinpeng (Mono) also put in a stellar performance, securing T8 overall, highlighted by an exciting final round where he made three birdies to close strong. Meanwhile, Teerawut Boonseeor (JJ), Sean Yates, and Armaan Gawde all finished within the Top 15 in the entire tournament, further proving the depth of talent at JAGA.

On the girls' side, Shixin Kang led the way with a Top 10 finish, placing 10th, while Aahana Kashyap, visiting from JAGA India, secured an impressive 12th-place finish, representing her home academy well.

Road to the Thailand Junior Masters

The Asian Junior Masters is just one stepping stone in a bigger journey. Over the course of the season, players will compete in eight qualification events—each a 36-hole, two-day tournament where golfers earn Order of Merit (OOM) points. These points will determine who advances to the prestigious Thailand Junior Masters, a three-day, 54-hole championship featuring the best junior golfers in the region.

Beyond Thailand, JAGA golfers have opportunities to qualify for major international junior tournaments in Singapore, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Australia, and India. The stakes get even higher at The Masters Championship, where our top juniors will compete for scholarships and tournament spots in Malaysia, South Korea, and other international events. The pathway to elite junior golf is clear, and JAGA players are proving they belong among the best.
